Today’s post hasn’t been easy to write – partly because it’s not easy to admit to your own trip ups in public and partly because that chapter is not yet closed. But here goes.
When I started out as a freelancer 4 years ago, I had a full-time job, so my waking hours were meticulously accounted for: wake up 6:20am, leave house 7am, work 8am–4pm, get home 5pm, have dinner, freelance work.
April 2018 marked my first foray into the big wide world as kk.editor – the London Book Fair! It was the first-ever fair I attended as a professional, not just an excitable audience member, and it was an exhilarating experience. I did, however, prepare myself beforehand.
